Delavan (July 28, 2015) – The temps may be low, but the waterfowl and upland action is always hot in South Dakota in late January!

Join Jeff Fuller, Shawn Wozniak of MEC Shooting Sports, and the dogs of Soggy Acres Retrievers as they hit the fields around Pierre, South Dakota in the dead of winter. This episode features one part property management hunt for geese, one part upland hunt for pheasants in the snow-encrusted fields outside the city limits. Both hunts yield large numbers of birds, with Soggy Acres Pickett’s Charge MH showing off some impressive retrieves. Whether you love the thrill of the kill or a lot of great retrieving action, this episode will delight waterfowlers and upland hunters alike.

In addition to lots of great shooting, the episode provides us with a great recipe for pheasant and a product review on Kershaw Knives. “SportingDog Adventures always tries to appeal to the wide variety of outdoor-life related interests, and that includes cooking,” says Kate Fuller, wife of host Jeff Fuller. “We’re pretty proud of the unique recipes we showcase, and can’t stress enough the importance of properly preparing your quarry. Serving something delicious at dinner is like a free pass to go on that hunt again!”
