Delavan (July 7, 2014) – It’s a challenge for the generations, as three generations of the Fuller family hit the snow-covered fields of central South Dakota for a December pheasant hunt!

“This hunt was tough for our crew, due both to the weather conditions and the ages of the hunters involved,” says Jeff Fuller, Host and Executive Producer of SportingDog Adventures. “There was a heavy snowfall which made it easy for the birds to walk on top, but hunters and dogs alike fell through. Add to it that we were hunting with my father who’s in his mid-seventies as well as two of my young sons, and it makes for a challenging hunt.”

Challenging conditions or not, South Dakota delivered, with the skies raining roosters on the SportingDog Crew. Despite a drought last year and a cold, wet spring, pheasant biologists still predict that over one million birds will be harvested this coming pheasant season, maintaining the state’s status as the “Pheasant Capital” (source: pheasantsforever.org). “A South Dakota pheasant hunt is an invaluable experience in an upland hunter’s career,” says Fuller. “We try to go as a family each year and are pleased to able to share our experience on-air.”
