Delavan (August 27, 2015) – An impromptu mid-day hunt yields a surprising bounty of ducks on this week’s new episode of SportingDog Adventures.

After a disappointing early morning hunt in cut corn, the SportingDog crew decides to scout a better location. “Mid-day duck hunts aren’t exactly famous for their results,” says Jeff Fuller, Executive Producer and Host of SportingDog Adventures, “but what did we have to lose?” Re-setting the gear over a small loafing pond with heavy cattails, the crew’s luck changes for the better as the ducks begin to swarm in.

All gun barrels are needed, as Tim and Allen from MobileStrong Vehicular Storage pitch in to take the ducks out. Serious winds make both the shooting and the retrieves a challenge. “My dog Pickett is an outstanding retriever in a variety of settings, but the high winds made it difficult for him to locate the birds, and it was even difficult for me to send him to the right spot,” says Fuller. The hunters and dogs get it done, despite the conditions.

Catch all the duck and dog action this week, as well as dog nutrition tips, a update on the Micah puppy litter, and segment on food plotting with kids.
